Islaam.ca is a website run by convert Muslims based in Canada (troid.ca), that presents information on Islām and Muslims in a format that is both presentable and understandable to the non-Muslim viewer. Our objective is to educate non-Muslims about Islām in a positive manner, directing the visitor to learn about tawhīd (monotheism) and to understand the purpose of creation. We encourage you also to view our forums section for interesting discussion on current affairs and our blog (coming soon). If you would like to contact us, feel welcome, we are here to help you learn about Islām!
Say (O Muḥammad): "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allāh, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allāh. Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims." (Ālī ʿImrān, 3:64)
Bin Laden’s Speech Contains Hidden Message
By Hassan Abdi
The latest video tape made by al-Qaeda leader Osamah Bin Laden prior to the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks contained a satanical fatwa which appears to have escaped journalists and experts on both sides of the Atlantic.
For those who fail to understand the language and theology of al-Qaeda his words may seem to contain no overt threat to the American public however to his army of wolves the howls of their ideologue and supreme commander are loud and clear.
“You permitted Bush to complete his first term, and stranger still, chose him for a second term, which gave him a clear mandate from you — with your full knowledge and consent — to continue to murder our people in Iraq and Afghanistan. Then you claim to be innocent! The innocence of yours is like my innocence of the blood of your sons on the 11th — were I to claim such a thing,” he stated.
In this recent tape Bin Laden is reminding his supporters that he deems those who live in the West to be as guilty as their leaders, because they democratically elected their Governments, and therefore they are lawful targets, men, women and children.

The Noble Qur'an
Like the Torah and the Bible, the Qur'an (sometimes spelled Quran, Koran, Coran) is revelation from our Lord and Creator. The Qur'an is the final revelation, revealed to Muhammad, the last Messenger, in order to return people to the true monotheistic religion of all previous Prophets and Messengers. The Qur'an is still preserved in its original, Arabic language and is free from error, addition or subtraction. The fundamental message from our Creator in the Qur'an is the same as that revealed in the previous scriptures; to worship not but God, not to associate partners in worship with Him and to enjoin good and forbid evil. This message was confirmed and implemented by His appointed Prophets and Messengers. And who believe in (the Qur'an and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad Peace be upon him) and in [the Turât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] which were sent down before you and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.). [Qur'an, 2:4]
The Ten Commandments?
The Bible has the famous 'Ten Commadments.' What about Islam? Does it have such a code of conduct which overviews some of the beliefs and rights of the reliigion? This short article will help to educate the enquiring mind better about the Qur'an, and perhaps knock down some misplaced notions about the Noble Qur'an and its message.
Is there anything in the Qur'an similar to the Ten Commandments of the Bible?

The similarities between Islam, Christianity and Judaism are often discussed but what is it that sets Islam apart from Christianity? Some people respect the Islamic belief but consider it unnecessary to become 'Muslims.' This lecture was given to an audience of Muslims and Christians (both Catholics and Protestants) in predominantly Christian, N. Ireland. Belfast is a city which was wrecked by paramilitary war for decades in which Catholics and Protestants have often considered each others version of Christianity as something foreign, the religion of Islam is something distant and unknown to many in the province, this lecture was given to promote dialogue, discussion and eventual agreement that Allah (Almighty God) is to be worshiped alone, furthermore that the call of Moses, Jesus and all other prophets of this One, True God was 'one call', a monotheistic call which is the basis of Islam.
From the topics discussed:
- The Nature of 'God'
- Muhammad, the Muslim substitue for Jesus (in divinity)?
- Multiple Messengers, a Single Message (Tawheed - Montheism)
- Prophets: Divinely commissioned not solely 'Divine'
- The Concept of the 'Trinity'
- Extensive Q&A with the Audience

Happiness is a common goal that everyone strives to attain. Philosophers, intellectuals, doctors and artists alike, all are in search of the causes of happiness and ways to escape anxiety.
The reality is however, that the solutions being presented achieve only partial or imaginary happiness. They are more or less like drugs, taken to feel temporary relief, but when their effect withdraws, anxieties return twice fold.
This booklet before you invites you to ultimate happiness and will take you by the hand towards true success.
A look at how Islam views any form of injustice or oppression. Even in the face of aggression, oppression or times of strife, Islam does not permit the Muslims to exceed unlawful boundaries or to seek personal revenge.
The Messenger of Allah, may peace be upon him, informed us that Allah said: O My Servants, indeed I have prohibited injustice for myself, and I have prohibited it amongst you.”
The noble scholar; ‘Abdul ‘Azeez Aal Ash Shaykh comments:This is general to all mankind, whether they are Muslim or not, it is not permissible for any one person to oppress another even if they were enemies or harbored hatred for one another. Enmity and hatred do not authorize anyone in the legislation of Islam to be unjust or practice oppression.”
Islam: The fastest growing religion in the world, specifically, the fastest growing religion amongst women and young people. Why?! Considering the negative press given to Islam and the Muslims in recent years, why is it that so many are turning to Islam; a religion often mentioned in the same breath as terms such as 'oppressive', 'backward' and 'tyrannical.' This open lecture given at York University in Toronto (2005) was an invitation for Non-Muslims to enter a dialogue about Islam. An opportunity not only learn about the reality of Islam but an opportunity to enter a dialogue towards agreement that the Supreme Creator should be singled out in Worship. Unlike a prototypical lecture, this event was more of a discourse between the speaker and the audience creating a unique experience for all involved.
“Say: O people of the Scripture: Come to an agreement between us and you: that we shall worship none but Allah (God), and that we shall ascribe no partners to unto Him, and that none of us shall take lords besides Allah (God). And if they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are they who have surrendered (unto Him).” (Qur’an: 5:72)
